I am always up for trying new recipes, especially when I find them on Pinterest. The recipe I am sharing below is a recipe I found off Pinterest but made it my own.
- Lean ground beef (cooked)
- 2 jars of spaghetti sauce (flavor/brand of choice)
- Italian seasoning (2 tsp.)
- Minced garlic (2 tsp.)
- Whole wheat spaghetti noodles
- 2 cups of water
For the seasoning & garlic, you can have more or less based on your personal preference.
First step is to mix 1 jar of spaghetti sauce, 2 cups of water, seasoning, and garlic in the crockpot. Let that simmer on low while you are cooking the ground beef.
Once the meat has been cooked, add it to the mixture for an hour on a medium setting.
After the hour is up, go ahead and add your spaghetti noodles by breaking them in half and submerging them in the mixture. At this point I turned the crockpot on high and let it be for around another hour.
This image is about half way through the hour point.
Once the hour was up, the noodles had a sticky texture. They were fully cooked but that’s when I added the other jar of spaghetti sauce and let it simmer on low for around 5 minutes.
If there is still too much liquid for your liking, you can leave it uncovered while still on low and the sauce will thicken.
Viola! You’ve got yourself a delicious mixture of spaghetti. Pair it up with salad and you’ve got yourself a meal!
